Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a fixed white dot front sight and a two-dot dovetail set rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock(s) is/are textured rubber wrap-around grips. The grips are in very good condition, with some tarnish to the nmedallions and dust / dried grease on the panels and frame around the panels.

Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The rifling is sharp and almost bright, with just a bit of fouling. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 92% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only slight wear on the frame and slide, with no wear through the finish. The most significant wear on the gun is to the slide stop, where about half of the nickel has flaked off. Please not that mush of the dirt and grime seen around the grip panels in the pictures is easily cleaned. We didn’t notice until after the pictures. The Screw heads are sharp, though showing light use. The markings are crisp. Overall, this gun rates in about fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions as designed though we have not test fired the gun.

Our Assessment: The 1911 .45 platform is one of the greatest firearms designs ever created (the best in my opinion). The Auto Ordnance 1911-A1 is true to the design and has a reputation for reliability and durability, befitting JM Browning’s original design. The steel is good, strong, and well-manufactured. The winner of this auction will have a reliable, durable, hard-hitting pistol, the design of which is celebrating its HUNDREDTH birthday this year. Few guns ever designed can boast the age and still be in front line use, to this day! Whether for home protection or SASS Wild Bunch Matches, its just a great gun.
CA Legal or CA Private Party Transferable: This gun is not on the CA Roster of 'certified for sale handguns' and can therefore only be sold in California as a Private Party Transfer at our shop in Simi Valley. This does not apply to out of state buyers.

Shipping:
USPS Insured shipping will cost $25.
Your gun will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of payment, usually the next day and you will receive an email notification with a tracking number upon receipt of your payment to let you know that we have received it. If you are in Southern California, you are welcome to pick the gun up and complete the transfer at our shop in Simi Valley (unless the gun is not available in California, as noted above).
This gun can only be shipped to an FFL, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. Please include a copy of your dealer’s license with payment. We will need CLFD numbers for CA FFL’s to ship. We are FFL dealers and comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
We also offer local pick-up and transfers at our shop in Simi Valley, California (when item is California legal).
Payment:
Full payment on non-layaway items is required within 14 days. We accept Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, Cash and Personal Checks. No Credit Cards or electronic payments are accepted.
CA Sales tax applies to CA buyers (7.25%).
Layaways are offered, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. No returns are accepted on Layaway items.
Successful Bidder Instructions:
You will be invoiced the morning after the sale. This invoice will include totals for the sale and all instructions.
If you win an item and are not willing or able to complete the sale, you will be liable for 5% of the sale price.
Returns (less shipping) are accepted within 3 days of when the item is delivered with signature confirmation. Returns are very costly for both the buyer and for us, so please ask all of your questions before bidding and please be sure you can legally purchase this item.
