Since you must launch FNIS through Mod Organizer in order for it to recognize your mods, add FNIS to the list of executables by doing the following:
  1. In the right pane, go to the Data tab.
  2. Locate the tools folder and expand it. Then expand the GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder.
  3. Right-click the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe file and select [Add as executable].
  4. In the window that opens, type FNIS for the executable name.
  5. Click [OK].

Now each time you want to run FNIS, simply select it from the drop-down menu at top right and click Run.

Once FNIS is installed and set up to run inside Mod Organizer, the animation files need to be generated for the skeleton changes and weapon placement to show properly in game. Combined with XP32 Skeleton and Dual Sheath Redux, Fore's New Idle System allows users to place swords, daggers, and shields on the Player Character's back instead on the hip and arm.

  1. Launch FNIS via Mod Organizer.
  2. In the Available Patches at the bottom of the window, check the box adjacent to 'SKELETON Arm Fix'.
  3. Click the [Update FNIS Behavior] button and wait for a message to appear in the window stating 'X animations for Y mods successfully included.'.
  4. Click [Exit].



USERS
After closing FNIS, there will be files in Overwrite (essentially a fake mod located at the bottom of the left pane if sorted by priority ascending) created by FNIS. Right-click Overwrite and select Create Mod, name it FNIS Output and click OK. This will create a new mod listing in the left pane for the FNIS generated files. You will then need to check it to enable it. Each subsequent time you update FNIS behavior, you must open Overwrite and drag the new files back to this mod.


Notice:People using Wrye Bash to manage their mods will need to do the following: After installing the mod, the executables ('GenerateFNISforUsers.exe' & 'hkxcmd.exe') will not have been installed. Either copy them over manually to the relative path corresponding to the installer package or simply manually copy the 'Data' directory within the package into skyrim/ and overwrite all files. This ensures that Wrye Bash can manage the installation of all conflicting meshes.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11811 allows you to add and play new Idle Animations without having to deal with nasty work-arounds, like replacing existing animations and creating temporary pseudo-races. It does this by creating (400) new animation slots in the Skyrim Behavior files.
This mod serves both gamers and modders.
Gamers can use it to make NPCs perform any standard or custom animation by simply copying the (.hkx) animation file under a pre-defined name into a special directory, and activate them by casting the FNIS spells.
(Note: although there can be different NPCs performing different animations at one time, this mod does not provide any synchronization of these animations, as needed for example in somne advlt type animation mods).

The animation slots are implemented by extending Beth's behavior files (which was only possible thanks to TheFigment aka TheHologram's amazing http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1797). Because of the anti-modding structure of these behaviors, my mod will always be incompatible to all other mods which modify behaviors as well (none known as of today). To make 2 behavior modifying mods compatible, they have to be integrated into one set of behaviors.

Currently this mod provides 400 additional animation slots. They can be used for all kind of simple animation tasks, (hopefully) including idle based combat overhauls like Oblivion's DR6 and CCAO. However due to the lack of necessary behavior information they cannot be used for regular combat animations.
